Welcome to Broward County

Old Florida charm interspersed with big-town conveniences

Sunny skies and salty ocean breezes enchant people to the ethnically diverse Broward County, sprawling with tree-lined suburbs and eclectic cities draped in tropical charm. Its pristine parks, acclaimed public and charter schools, booming downtown districts, and exquisite sites of attraction have cemented its reputation as a perfect place to raise a family in Southeast Florida.

Owing to the incessant population booms of the 1920s, Broward County saw huge development in the aftermath of its incorporation. The locale established the first “tourist hotel” in Fort Lauderdale, after which developers began dredging the county’s wetlands from which Island Communities emerged. This transformed the county from an oasis of agricultural flourish to an urbanized residential area offering residents a perfect blend of beach and city.

With homes to accommodate any taste, Broward County exudes a classic Floridian charm spiced with variety. From Mediterranean Revival mansions to deluxe high-rise condos overlooking gorgeous waterfronts, sprawling estates and villas in gated communities, and quaint single-family homes boasting barbecue pits in the backyard, this haven offers a bit of everything.
